Deborah Weinswig is the founder and CEO of Coresight Research. Between 2014 to early 2018, Deborah served as Managing Director of Fung Global Retail and Technology (FGRT), the think tank of Fung Group. Previously, she was Managing Director and Head of the Global Staples & Consumer Discretionary team at Citi Research.

Deborah was ranked the #1 analyst by Institutional Investor for 10 years in a row. She was named one of the Top 50 Retail Influencers by Vend in both 2016 and 2017, and received the Asia Retail Congress’s Retail Leadership Award in 2016. She was also recognized by LinkedIn as a top Voice in Retail in 2017 and 2018.

She serves on the board of directors for Goodwill Industries New York/New Jersey, GUESS?, Inc., Kiabi, Street Soccer USA and Xcel Brands, Inc. Deborah is on the advisory board of the World Retail Congress as well as several accelerators.

Deborah is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.


John Mercer heads up our research offering, managing content from our global analyst teams. As senior analyst, he undertakes research with a focus on European retailing, spanning grocery apparel, department stores, discount, and e-commerce, as well as US food retailing. John brings a decade of experience in covering grocery and nongrocery retailing across a number of countries. He has a Ph.D. in political marketing.

Marie Driscoll

Marie Driscoll is a senior analyst covering Beauty, Luxury and Fashion. She joined the Coresight Research team in 2014. Previously she was a Senior Director-Retail in the Equity Research department of Standard & Poors. Marie was recognized three times in The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” analyst survey. Marie teaches Funding Beauty & Fashion at Parsons; Global Fashion Marketing at FIT; and Equity Analysis at CUNY’s Zicklin School of Business. She mentors at XRC Labs and New York Fashion Tech Labs and is an advisor at Fabulyst and Genostyle. Marie is a CFA Charterholder and has an MBA from CUNY’s Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College.


John Harmon is a technology and equity analyst with more than 20 years’ experience in the US, Europe and Asia. John focusses on the IoT, payments, wearables, drones, sensors, beacons and data analytics. He is Head of the US analyst team, and received a BS and an MS in Engineering from Stanford University.


Albert Chan heads the Hong Kong office of Coresight Research, supporting global clients in marketing and business development initiatives throughout Greater China. Albert has worked in Canada, Hong Kong and Macau, across a broad spectrum of verticals including public relations, events management, manufacturing and luxury goods distribution. Before joining Coresight Research, Albert consulted for DFS, The Hyatt Group, Fung Group and Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Albert holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong.


Swarooprani Muralidhar is Head of Coresight’s India office. She leads the India team and her research focuses on the global luxury goods sector and the retail supply chain. Previously, she was an Associate at the London office of Fung Global Retail & Technology (FGRT). Prior to that, she worked in the banking and apparel supply chain sectors. She holds a Master of Science in Finance and Management from Cranfield University, UK.
