To kick off this year’s conference, Coresight Research Founder and CEO Deborah Weinswig emceed Shoptalk’s Startup Pitch competition. The competition featured 15 early-stage technology companies, which Weinswig classified into one of four categories: merchandising and marketing solutions; physical retail solutions; fulfillment and post-purchase operations; and, retail e-commerce experiences. Two winners were chosen, one by the panel of judges and one through audience voting. The winner of the judge’s choice was Chatter Research, a conversational commerce tool tailored to collect consumer post-purchase feedback.
