Highlights from our April UK Retail Sales Report: The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported a strengthening of year-over-year retail sales growth to 7.2% in April, with a 7.4% increase in volumes. A late Easter (Easter Sunday was April 21 versus April 1 last year) meant some spending shifted from March into April.
